Nestoria update

Ed from Nestoria posted a comment on an earlier entry letting me know that they have made available an API which allows users to consume/regurgitate their data in a way that is perfectly search-engine friendly. Tech details of the API here.

  1. That's very interesting and I'll certainly have a go at using it although I'm not a developer by any means
  2. I'm very impressed that Nestoria are so on the ball that they pick up a new no-mark blog and take the time to comment on it.
Smart people make the web worth while.

Hi Harry,

thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. Of course we know we still have a long way to go, so any thoughts you have about what we could do better on Nestoria would be very welcome.

Regarding the API, you're right, it's designed more for the technically savvy user. That being said, there are many sites where you can hire developers on a per project basis very cheaply. Perhaps that is an option for you?

If the API's not your cup of tea, we do offer a whole range of other tools for webmasters, from property lists to DropIn maps all the way through to a completely co-branded search. These tools are specifically designed for the a less technically sophisticated webmaster.

Good luck with this blog, it's an interesting idea. We'll be watching ;-)

warm regards,
Ed
